The 'Hawaiian' Dog - Recipe for our pineapple salsa

Our latest dog is bringing us much needed summer vibes, here's how we make the pineapple salsa #winningcombo

Pineapple Salsa Recipe

We are pretty excited about our new 'Hawaiian' Dog and the pineapple salsa has become a real contender for best dog companion (the chilli and cheese is still just in the lead!) . Not only that but it makes a great addition to our nachos too.

We serve it with chimichurri sauce - get in!

So simple to make, just get your knife skills ready.

1/2 pineapple

1-2 red onions

1 red chilli (choose the variety according to your love, or not, of spice)

4-5 large tomatoes, on the vine is always good

1 Lime

Small bunch coriander

Sea salt

So here comes the dicing, sharp knife to hand...cut the pineapple, red onions, chilli and tomatoes into small, even chunks and place into a bowl.

When cutting the tomatoes, take all the seeds out and place them onto a clean tea towel to soak up some of the juice so the salsa doesn't end up too liquidy (if that's a word?!).

If you are not using the salsa straight away, it is also a good idea to keep the ingredients separate, again to prevent excess liquid in the salsa.

When you are ready to serve, mix in the juice of a lime, a generous pinch of sea salt and some chopped coriander.

This salsa will last for a couple of days in the fridge and is great served with all things pork, as well as tacos, fajitas, burgers, salads and even as an additional sandwich filling to liven things up!
